The subject considers the psychological dimensions of gender, marriage, sexuality, family life and care of the elderly and brings a theological understanding to these considerations with a view to helping students further develop a theologically informed professional practice in counselling/psychotherapy. The material in the subject assumes familiarity with the topics covered in the unit JP8678 Virtue, Faith and Psychological Science. A particular focus of the subject is on the centrality of theories of attachment and conscience as conceptual frameworks within which the various topics will be addressed.
