JP8501/9501 Nietzsche, Heidegger and Post-Modern Philosophy

This subject considers contemporary assessments of the ideas, practices and culture of post-modernity that spring from two of the seminal architects of the destruction of modernity: Friedrich Nietzsche and Martin Heidegger. The relation of postmodern culture to the task of evangelisation is considered throughout. Students will be equipped with a body of this knowledge which will enable them to undertake professional work in the field and serve as a basis for further learning.
